I want to completely close my business control panel and I can find no info on how to do this.

I understand I can request a refund on unused credit, but beyond that I can find no instructions.

I don't want merely to deactivate the Skype In number associated with my name; I want the number and all my business control panel account info to completely close, as in no longer exist, or be accessible in any way shape or form.

An email to support came back with a totally useless reply that contained links to the knowledge base and the user guide but nothing that actually answered my questions.

You can clear the business control panel from all credits and then leave it via your account oage at www.skype.com.

IF you are the administrator of the business control panel and you want to do away with it altogether there does not seem to be any way to do this.

What is your suggestion or guidance?

Hello

Did you receive any answer from Skype support so far ?

I have exactly the same issue. I'm the last user / administrator of the company. The company has closed, and I live now in a different country. I want to continue using skype out personally and close the business account definitively.

As far as I can see it's impossible to delete the account. And I can't remove myself because I'm the last administrator

It looks like Hotel California : "You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave!" :-)

Please go here http://support.skype.com/?_a=tickets&_m=submit and submit a ticket with full details to Billing and Payment department, Skype needs the details to look into your problem. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click submit / send. Note that a reply can take a minimum of 3 working days.

Check your SPAM settings and the SPAM folder at the server for replies from Skype.

If you already sent a ticket more then 4 workingdays ago, please report back at the forum with the date you sent your first support ticket and we will point to Skype Staff.

The solution is simple.

1. Go to gmail and open up a new random email account.
2. Use the new email account to create a new random skype account.
3. Invite the new random skype account to your business control panel.
4. Promote the new random skype account to administrator.
5. Log on to the business control panel with your new random skype account that is now administrator.
6. Delete your skype user account from the business control panel (and perhaps change the businessname/firstname/lastname of the business.
7. Now logout and forget the new random skype account forever!
8. Optional: Delete the gmail account (if you don't know how, google it!)

Result: Freedom!

Moral of this solution: If Skype wants to keep inactive business accounts, let them..but don't let it inconvenience you!

when you delete the last user from the business control panel (ie yourself, the administrator) the business control panel is deleted.

OMG do I feel your pain. This account is causing me nothing but grief! the technical support should not even be an offer because they are totally useless.
I am wanting to completely close my account. I dont even care that there was just a payment made for another year. This crappy company wont close the dam thing. They keep saying go to manage your account and click the option. It doesnt exist as you learned.
So how do you close the account? Has anyone learned how?
