I have somehow hit the mute button and now can not turn it off I have gone into all the settings and they are fine. But when I try to make a call it comes up that mute is on. Can any one tell me how to fix this before I have computer rage!

Hi David,
Saw your 'mute' query and wondered if you had managed to correct the problem. I have an iMac and am experiencing the same difficulty.
Thanks,
Esprit

What versions of the Skype clients are you using?
Could you have set a Hotkey that is getting set always?

Just follow screen shot below and click the mike in the red circle when in a call.

It's not you, it's a Skype problem, I think. I just got the newest Skype update and it mutes the microphone as it dials. I unmute it and it works fine until I dial again. Skype "automagically" makes a stupid decision and keeps muting the microphone in the Windows audio control panel.
I'm growing tired of this. It's extremely sloppy programming.

Hi There
I recently upgraded to the latest version after resisting incase there were any faults as I use Skype for work and low and behold I get the same issue. I was also talking to a colleague at work and he too has the same problem. Surely Skype must have a fix for what is obviously a bug in the release.
