Hi All,

Has anyone had this problem with the 3.xx version of Skype when you quit the it can crash/or hog memory of your PC?

I found this website.

I have had this issue for over 2 months and it was beginning to annoy me. There is no information on the Skype FAQ or support pages. I have got a Intel dual core 2GHz (not my choice) with windows 2000.

Lucky I have and old 2.5.0.125 version stored offline and I have gone back to it and it work without any problems. I was under the impression that the 3.6 was released and not Beta and that is why I downloaded it. But obviously there are some nasty memory leaks when the Skype program is terminated.

Any advice on why or what the problem is...

The Skype.exe file, which is Skype's main file, closes fine with 2000.

By the looks of things, you're trying to run Pamela, which will then use the "SkypePM.exe" file. The PM file is Skype's Plug'in Manager.

Try closing all external applications, that Skype may be running.
