I followed your directions, but there is consistently one problem. When it comes time to change audio devices, Bluetooth isn't an option. In fact, when I try to modify the Skype audio setup, my default "Vinyl AC'97 Audio (WAVE)" is the only option. I expected bluetooth to come up, but it does not. I have a motorola PC adapter PC850 and a motorola H500 headset. I have WIDCOMM 4.0.1.2500 driver dated 7-19-2005. They all connect with no problems, but again, I cannot select them as another audio device.
Please help.

Hi..i think you are the only hop left for my BT Skype combo to work so here it goes...
i use Win xp SP2. I have installed the BT device succesfully. i have a sony ericson hbh-300 which has paired with the dongle (through a succesful pairing process). The icon even turns green and is ready to use, but i get no audio in skype (not even the ladies voice in the test call). There is no audio ouput even from windows media player or itunes, etc.
I have set skype audio options to bluetooth audio also. There is some volume gain in the headset when the connection between te headset and the dongle is done and a beep when the connection is switched off..so the pairing seems fine.
My device manager shows:
Bluetooth bus enumerator which has WIDCOM driver as of 29/8/2005 version 5.0.1.801
and the second entry here is
Broadcpm Bluetooth USB Device (same driver details as the enumerator)
the dongle case said it is ver 1.2

Hi Anders
Nice with a fellow Dane
What if I'm so unfortunate to have received a Microsoft dongle with my (MS) BT Mouse.
In step 4 it won't accept another driver and let me change driver to eg. BlueSoleil.
Is there a way to force feed the MS bt dongle another driver or do I have to buy another non-MS brand?

just wanted to share some tips for Dell notebook owners:
I just got my logitech Mobile Freedom headset to work with the internal BT of my Dell Latitude D620. It was frustrating at first but this thread let me realize that I needed a new BT stack, and not a driver for my headset.
It turns out you can download an updated BT stack form Dell here. Make sure you get R117967.exe (26 MB), and not the older R119024.exe (3 MB) which is useless. After downloading the hefty file, execute it to self-extract and launch the installer. It will take a while because it will also upgrade the firmware of your
Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth Internal Module. The installation wizard will take care of everything, and when it's done, you'll have a much friendlier BT radio interface that supports the headset service.
Interestingly, the Dell update actually installs the Toshiba BT stack. In any case, my headset works beautifully with my notebook now.

well, you could check after uninstallation of the software, if it leaves any registry-enteries, in REGEDIT ( by typing it in RUN).
Because some softwares do 'leave' corupt values in the windows registry after uninstallation, which then cause disturbances later on, INCLUDING fresh re-installation corruption.

I had to reinstall the CD that came with H500 and PC850 adapter three time to finally get it to work. I was able to speak with friend of mine who was also using bluetooth headset and after one minute or so he couldn't hear me at all but I could hear him.
Not sure what is causing this problem. Anyways, followed the steps on 1 page on this thread. Was able to complete each steps and called the echo123 and heard myself talking using H500 headset clearly.
Well, I will report back in a day or so.

After many frustrating efforts my Motorala H500 still does not work with Skype.
Thanks to the original thread, I downloaded a new driver (Widcom3.0.1.901) and got the devices paired up. I also turned only the headset function on and my BT icon is nice and green. However, all I can hear from my BT headset is an annoying jingle (which does not change when I changed the notification tune). I have chosen the BT headset as the default headset for the computer (only used for skyping really) and now I hear nothing and mic has stopped working as well. I have used the headset with a mobile and it works fine and Skype on this computer using a traditional headset, again without a problem.
Can anyone help how to cross this hopefully a final barrier in getting the headset working?

Hi,
If anyone is still following up on this thread, please help me with a small problem I have.
I have a nokia hdw-3 and can pair and connect it ok. When I try to use it the mic works ok (tested in Messenger and sound recorder) but I don't get any sound through the headset. I have tried the latest drivers, re pairing, volume controls, but nothing seems to come out of the headset. I do get the beeps and nokia ring when it conects so I know the speaker works. Also when it is connected no sound comes out of the laptop speakers, so i assume it is trying to send the audio to the headset.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

If your Bluetooth headset appears to connect with Windows XP but you can't use the microphone or hear sound, chances are it automatically put it on mute for some reason. To correct, this, go to Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices and click off mute. You can now test some Windows sounds and they should come through the earpiece. Skype will work too.

Works just GREAT!
I have MSI bluetooth dongle and Jabra BT150.
- if you have Jabra, be sure to activate pairing mode by pressing
the answer/end button and pres the volume up (+) button simultaneously
until a solid blue light comes on. (At least on mod BT150)
Thanks for instructions.

I was just too frustrated upon trying to get the blue tooth Motorola H500 to work. The microphone was fine,,but no audio. It came as a set with the adapter. Since I tried most of the suggestions here, my next step was to call the help line. I know that goes against the true 'puter geek, but I'm not. He told me to open control panel, go to audio devices and change the top two to blue tooth audio. Bingo,,it works. If I want audio to come from my computer it takes a couple clicks to get back. If anyone has any easier solutions please advise.
Now that it works, I wonder why I went to all that trouble. Damn thing is like a cell phone! Cuts in and out especially in bad weather. When it works it's great. I can walk around listening to music in one ear and talk on the phone with the other. It did work with Skype, but as I said,,it cut in and out.I'm sure that's not the fault of the device.
Good Luck all Skypers

...I still have the problem that the "Audio Gateway" service kicks in whenever I press the "ANSWER" button on my headset (Nokia HDW3) but immediately closes down. I want it to remain up, then I will look for a solution that also answers the call on Skype... Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dvir
I am not able to get my headset to support headset services and the headset is paired up with an audio gateway service. Also, like the guy in the post quoted above from 1.5 yrs ago in Feb 2005, I am having the exact same experience trying to get my logitech bluetooth mobile headset (which works brilliantly with my berry 8700c) to work properly with my new Z series thinkpad and enable bluetooth skype.
I have been wrangling with it for hours now with only partial success. I tried the latest IBM drivers and software, then stripped that out and let windows try and also even downloaded software from X-micros' site.
Under (A) the IBM and X-micros' software setup (very similar) the experience is just as described above.
The Logitech headset will indeed ring as if a cellphone call is incoming and it will connect...only to hang up (without a disconnect beep) three to four seconds later. The problem is that it doesn't tell the computer that it has disconnected and so the laptop's bluetooth software still shows a "connection" despite the fact that the thing just shut itself off and it's not sending or receiving audio from echo123.
The Blackberry bluetooth sync function works fine but that's nothing. I want bluetooth skype! ;-)
Under (b) the windows bluetooth mode sans any outside software or drivers, the blackberry sync works even better (much faster speeds) but there are no service options showing on that tab for either the headset or the bluetooth. that means that there are nothing but the default laptop audio services showing up in skype... equals "nowhereseville!" Grrrrrr
SO MY QUESTION IS:
Has there been anything improved in Windows wrt support of BT headsets SP2 or any other releases of fixes to enable bluetooth headsets in XP since February 2005 when this was written?
I haven't found anything else in the forums but maybe I missed something. Please let me know.
For now I am giving up and hopefully they will resolve this with VISTA...?
Seems like childs play and I can't believe it hasn't been addressed.
THANKS FOR ANY IDEAS.

I am using a Dell Latitude 600, with a belkin 10m dongle, Nokia HS-36W and it's working fine.
I also have my Nokia n70 connected and my bluetooth mouse. All hooked up and working.
Downloaded the latest driver CD from the Belkin website. Installed, rebooted, unplugged all dongle's. Plugged in the Belkin, found software, installed everything.
Then I rebooted again and started searching, picked up the phone, mouse and headset in one go. Input the pin codes and it's done.
Skype is fine, can transfer files from pc to phone and of course the mouse moves that cursor thing around !

i had this same problem. it bugged me for a few days, then i figured out that if you have the microsoft emulator running you need to disable it by actually enabling the driver from the software provided. i have a belkins adapter, and after reading the instruction (which is how i figured out how to use the damn thing), it showed me how to update the driver, but not from the cd, but from a specific location in the update wizard. from there i just click the icon that was device (there is another one there) and when i hit next, thats when i saw the driver being copied to the driver directory. after that the bluetooth mircosoft emualtor icon disaapeared.

However, after the next booting, when I switched it on, the bluetooth icon in the system tray changed colour indicating the device being connected, which it also reports on a left klick --but not in the bluetooth manager. Clicking on the headset generated a modal box saying "An error occurred"--very informative.
The bluetooth manager shows it as paired. After deleting the headset from the manager it cannot be paired again. The error persists. The only possibility: uninstall the bluetooth software completely and re-install, to again use it for one session....
Looks like something trivial is wrong.
Anybody having the same problem or even a cure or suggestion on where to look for the problem?

Great tutorial. I got it working 95%
I've got rid of the MS driver, installed the WIDCOMM drivers for my dongle (JAHT JBT-0402UB). I can pair it with my Plantronics 590 and I can discover the headset service and connect to it. However, when I play some sound, it breaks up, much like loosing a cell phone connection. Same thing when I play an MP3 file, it breaks up about, sort of plays the song on and off with a frequency of about half a second.
This is running on my Compaq nx9600 laptop.
I have tested the very same configuration on my PC at home where it works just fine.
Any idea why it wouldn't work properly on the laptop? I have searched the HP.com website for updated USB drivers, but there are none. It uses the Windows USB drivers.

I've been trying to set up a Logitech Traveller Headset (on a Acer Tablet 302 with built in BT. I've had a BT Logitech mouse working fine for ages).
I can see the Headset (and my existing BT mouse), and the mouse is working fine (as long as I don't disable the MS Enumerator).
However, there are no BT Services shown against the headset. Therefore I can't select a HEADSET or AUDIO or anything else!
Is the Logitech Traveller just never going to work, or have I missed something?
I've tried replacing the BT driver with a Widcomm 1.4.1.6 driver (from the Acer site), but then I lose my BT mouse as well!
thanks

I have the following problem, my headset connects properly to the computer, but I
cannot hear anything, because there is no such thing like BLuetooth AV in the

For those of you still having trouble, maybe this will help. Here's a link to the latest Toshiba BT stack:

Hi
I followed these instructions and I got my Logitech BT headset to work...thanks!
But when I disconnect my BT headset and close skype to use my PC for other business, all audio output remains pointing to my BT headset. I have to manually go into control panel and change it back to use the PC soundcard. I thought that when I connect my headset it would switch audio to BT headset automatically and then back to the PC audio when I disconnect. Is this not possible? Am I doing something wrong?

I've read through this entire post, as well as a few others, and I'm no closer to solving my problem. Many people have similar issues, but none is exactly the same.
I have a Logitech Mobile Freedom headset (which works fine with my dad's Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone) and a new Belkin Bluetooth v.2 USB adapter (F8T013). The USB adapter seems to install fine - Belkin supply Windows XP SP2-specific install instructions - similar to the instructions given here - and this avoids any conflict with Microsoft drivers. The Microsoft Bluetooth icon does not appear in the Notification area (system tray) and no Microsoft Bluetooth devices/drivers show up in Device Manager. (My brother has an older Belkin Bluetooth adapter that I wasn't able to get up and running properly - not that I care about that - but with his adapter, the Microsoft driver problem did appear, which just confirms to me that the installation procedure for the newer Belkin adapter takes care of disabling the Microsoft drivers.)
After installing the Belkin adapter, I can see the headset when searching for Bluetooth devices, and successfully pair with it. When I 'connect' with the headset, the headset rings, I answer the call, and I hear hissing/static from the headset. The computer confirms that the headset is connected.
The problem is, though, that I can't hear any proper audio through the headset. If I call echo123, I can't hear the voice - the static from the headset does, however, become louder, as if it is reacting to the signal that the computer is sending to it. Windows is set to default to Bluetooth audio when the headset is connected, and I have experimented with the 'Sounds and Audio Devices' Control Panel settings, as well as with the options for audio input/output within Skype, but regardless of what device they're set to (and Bluetooth Audio is showing up as an option), I can't hear any audio through the headset (or through the computer's speakers).
Similarly, trying to use the headset's microphone functionality doesn't work - nobody can hear me. If I try to use the Windows Sound Recorder to test the microphone, it detects no input from the headset, and the same when I play around with the Audio Tuning Wizard within Windows Messenger. I have checked all the audio in/out volume settings, and everything is normal - nothing is too low or muted.
I contacted Logitech support, who said, "Once the headset is being detected on the system and the proper device has been selected within the Sound and Audio Devices in the Control Panel, the headset should work without issues."
I contacted Belkin support, who first said to try to simply reinstall the drivers: "The only thing you need to check is that you have bluetooth audio in Device Manager installed, and that in Control Panel - Sound Settings, you have bluetooth as playback / record device." I confirmed that Bluetooth audio displayed in the Device Manager, but the situation didn't change. Belkin's next response was, "I can only think it's some kind of compatibility issue. There are differences between different bluetooth manufacturers." Is this true?
I have installed the Bluetooth adapter on 3 different computers, but the situation was always the same - successful connection to the headset, but no audio and no microphone functionality. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with different profiles selected (Headset, with/without Audio Gateway, with/without others), but this also didn't seem to make any difference.
The only time I ever heard anything in the headset, was when I tried the trial version of Vitaero (formerly Skypeheadset), and for one split-second I heard someone's voice in the headset, before it cut back to the same static as usual.
The only post I've come across that seems similar to my situation is this one:
http://forum.skype.com/index.php?act=ST&f=10&t=31416. But it's an old post, and doesn't really help much. It seems this guy solved his problem by simply using a different Bluetooth adapter and everything worked fine!
If anyone has any input on my situation, I'd be very grateful to hear it!
Thanks

OK, I've also read this thread from top to bottom and the answer I have come of is the following:
Symptom: Your headset is synced with your computer but you get no or sporadic sound.
Solution: This is what I have to do. I am using the bluetooth that is built into the laptop, and Plantronics 590 stereo headset.
1. First, if you have wireless, go to the Device Manager and find the wireless device. Click on its properties, advanced tab (if you have it), and find Bluetooth Collaboration. Click Enable. I had some things work better with this setting.
2. Make sure you have the latest winsock or advanced bluetooth drivers (version 5.0+ as I have them).
3. Go to My Bluetooth Places, go to My Device, and DISABLE My Audio Gateway profile. Make sure that the Headset profile is still enabled.
4. If your wireless option is active, please disconnect from the wireless network.
5. Now connect your headset and make sure that in the Sound Devices portion of the control panel that all settings are pointing to the Bluetooth Headset (not the high quality audio for now). Test audio with mp3.
If it works, try turning things back on (wireless, other profiles or things that were disabled). Usually, once you have it working, it will stay working even in old configurations that were not working before.
At this point this worked for me. However I cannot stress enough that all bluetooth devices are finicky. They seem to need some "breaking in time" and also some playing with the settings. Try different combinations of disabling other bluetooth profiles or other environments. Just keep trying! ^_^

I've been looking everywhere for help in using my Bluetooth headset with Skype...I am hoping someone here can help me. I've read a lot of the entries here but I can't see that my specific situation is addressed so let me explain it here. I have a Dell D400 with the newer version (v.1.2) of the internal TM300 Bluetooth module and I have installed the latest driver for it (Dell TrueMobile 300 Bluetooth Internal card, v.BTW 3.0.1.803 - Stack Only, A05 Release Date: 8/10/2004 Description: Installer for the TrueMobile 300 3.0.1.803 BTW stack/driver) from the Dell website. It's working on my computer. I just bought a new Bluetooth earpiece (Platronics 330A) and I can get it to pair and even connect with my laptop's Bluetooth, but when I try to actually get sound to come out of it, I can't. Once it's connected, I hear this little semi-musical repetitive tone (kind of like it's waiting to make or receive a call) but when I go to Skype and try to dial a number, I don't hear the dial, the ring, or anything coming from my earpience, only that little melodic tone. I've tried a number of things mentioned here and all of the audio and sound devices are set to Bluetooth, both in Skype and in my Control Panel. I still can't get it to work. Sound from Skype isn't coming out of my laptop speakers either so I think something is reading the signal to send the sound via Bluetooth, but it's just not coming through. This is the third earpice I've tired and the results are all the same. Can you help? I would really love to use a Bluetooth headset with Skype!

[...]Once it's connected, I hear this little semi-musical repetitive tone (kind of like it's waiting to make or receive a call)[...]
This puzzled me when I first used my headset. None of the instructions, help topics or forums came up with an answer.
Eventually I just stared at the screen. I minimised all the applications, leaving one message box that said "Connecting headset...". I realised that it was waiting for me, so I pressed that button on the headset that means 'answer'. It worked! The message box changed to 'Connected to ...' and I could hear the nice lady at echo123 at last.
I suppose it was so simple and obvious that nobody had bothered to explain. Hope this helps you, or someone else.

Just want to say ISSC Bluetooth dongle is rubbish, be aware

Bought a couple of headsets: new and cheap model Jabra BT135 (on ofiicial Jabra site still says "coming soon"

) and the second popular Jabra BT250v. Tried to connect them through ISSC USb Bluetooth dongle (v 1.2) and BlueSolail softaware (versions 1.4 and 1.6 came on cd with dongle, but both of versions doesn't support headset profile). With Jabra BT135 took about 4 hours to get it worked with BlueSolail latest VoIP version (paid

6,99 eur for that on official website) plus some modifications in windows settings, at lasr worked fine and quickly, was enough to push the button on headset to get connected to the skype.
The day after went to store back and exchanged it with Jabra 250v headset, 'cause wasn't satisfied with quality of sound of BT135. But spent for now more then 15 hours to get it worked but no results. Tried everything I could find on Internet, BlusSolail's different versions of software (included that I paid for)- connecting wiothout any troubles, but do not hear anything when calling to echo123. Widcomm drivers doesn't recognize this **** dongle at all. Toshibas drivers- the best result, i can hear the echo123 (with clearly better soun quality than Jabra BT135), however can't record my voice, so mic is not working properly. Tomorrow I'll try to connect Jabra 250v to some mobile phone, just to be sure it's not mechanical problem with it. But I think the real problem is in the dongle due I'm not the first who couldn't connect headset to it, even it's clearly written on the package: ready for voice transfer data and headset profile.

thank you millions to everyone in this thread, i shall stay about trying to help people too.
Could someone be so kind and

I have a Kensington USB Bluetooth on my Dell laptop. I am able to get my phone to communicate with Bluetooth using the Samsung software, and I am able to pair my Plantronics Voyager 510 headset with the PC using the Kensington Bluetooth. When doing so, I can hear all system sounds fine and Skype shows that it is using the Bluetooth for both audio input and output. But, I cannot get Skype input or output via the headset???
I have a Bluetooth Bus Enumerator and a Kensington Bluetooth EDR dongle listed in the devices under System/Hardware.
I tested the audio using the Control Panel audio test facilities, all is well. Any idea why Skype doesn't recognize the Bluetooth headset? This is frustrating but I don't understand if Skype somehow is "hardwired" to the plugable microphone and headset. Apparently it isn't as your forum entry indicates you somehow got it to work. I will work a bit more to see if somehow there is a later driver but there doesn't appear to be any Microsoft drivers on my system as I didn't have any Bluetooth capability when I bought the system (Inspiron 1150).
Any ideas what to try next?

Hi,
I have just recently purchased the BH-900 from Nokia to use with Skype. I have also invested in a brand spanking Belkin USB BT adaptor (F8T012). I have attempted to follow the instructions at the top, with limited success. Whilst I have managed to connect to Skype once with the headset, I have been unable to replicate this. I have confirmed that I am using the latest drivers for the dongle (from the Belkin site) and that it supports the latest BT version (i.e. 100m range).
The headset appears to connect to the PC fine (I get a beep from the headset when it does so), but when I try and do a test call, nothing.
Can someone help as this really is driving me potty!
Cheers

Tim, I ended up down loading the latest Beta version of Skype and voila, my Bluetooth headset worked. It seems to be working pretty well and with mine I can actually be connected to both the PC and my phone at the same time. The headset has the intelligence and capability to handle both. Good luck, let me know how you make out. Terroir

Hi,
I have just recently purchased the BH-900 from Nokia to use with Skype.
Cheers

Hi Terrior,
Thanks for your reply - which version are you now running then? I am just currently downloading the latest official release (2.5.0.154) - is this the one you mean? If not, where can I find this Beta?
Cheers

Tim, I ended up down loading the latest Beta version of Skype and voila, my Bluetooth headset worked. It seems to be working pretty well and with mine I can actually be connected to both the PC and my phone at the same time. The headset has the intelligence and capability to handle both. Solved! Not sure whether or not upgrading to the Beta helped (finally found it after a quick google search), but I discovered that I have to have a quick play with the controls on the headset after connecting to the PC in order for the Skype sound to be routed through! Is this normal behaviour?

Tried the same with a Latitude x1. All worked fine, downloading R117967 with the Toshiba bluetooth stack, rebooting and pairing the Logitech headset (Mobile Traveller). The device switched on and off as expected after it showed in the bluetooth manager.
Heinz
I have a Dell Inspiron E1705 (great laptop by the way!) with the Dell BT 350 module.
My Sony Ericsson HBH-660 headset used to work perfectly, but i recently formatted my hard drive and since then I'm having the same problem as you do.
However, I do not need to reinstall the software completely to successfully pair my device. Try doing as follows:
1. Open the bluetooth settings window and go to the Bluetooth\Options dialog.
2. On the Security tab, click the View Paired Devices button, and delete your headset information from the list (mine appeared as HBH-660 + the device's MAC address).
3. Disable the bluetooth radio, wait a minute or so and re-enable it.
4. Pair it again using the Custom mode (not the Express Mode, it will fail!)
5. Voilà!
Hope this works for you. It certainly did for me

I have my Nokia BH200 headset working with the MSI Starkey 2.0 bluetooth usb. I can hear clearly the voice or the sound of the speaker but my voice appears to be interupted. I tested the headset with my nokia phone: it works very well, other can hear me clearly. So I suppose that the problem comes from the bluetooth usb key.
So that I would like to have your advices to buy a better bluetooth usb key. Does Belkin bluetooth usb key work well? Or one of Dlink?
Thanks!

Here's my odyssey:
I was never aware that a normal bluetooth headset could be used with a PC, so I never tried. Just a few days ago my old HBH-600 (Sony) got washed, so I went out today to get myself a new one. Ended up spotting a Omiz 2234 Headset, the box said Skype Certified, and I liked the price (ZAR269, roundabout EUR30) and bought it. Works nicely with my SE W810i, but getting it to hook up to the computer was a no-go with my slightly older LevelOne MDU-0001v2. I had used Widcomm 1.4.3.4 (the "generic" version), and I was able to pair the headset with my laptop, but no sound came through. Eventually I decided to download the original drivers, but those didn't have headset support. So at the end of the day I decided to go get another dongle, which was a matter of R99 (EUR10). That one came with an older version of Bluesoleil. Nonetheless it worked fine immediately, only the sound was stuttering in the headset. SO I downloaded the current version of Bluesoleil VoIP, and the problems were gone. Registration of that version cost another 3 Euros, but at least now everything works as it is supposed to. Going to experiment a bit in the coming days, but I am happy with this setup. Bluesoleil is also a lot more intuitive and userfriendly than the Widcomm stack.

Am I doing something wrong?
cheers
Gregor
Hi, I am having the same problem. Every time I power up the BT headset, it hijacks all the audio output (even though I told the computer to only use default device, it seems that the BT makes itself the default device). What BT stack are you using and what version? I am using Toshiba version 4.00.22 - The latest available from Dell. There is a newer version available on Toshiba's website but I am skeptical about using it (especially since it may expire in 30 days???)

I don't even get a disable option under Bluetooth Devices - nor are there 2 items beneath it. The closest is right under Bluetooth Devices (which shows only Bluetooth Bus Enumerator) is a separate menu, BLuetooth Radios which has Generic Bluetooth Radio and Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator. I can disable Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator but my dark blue Bluetooth diamond still has the red B, no matter what I try. Help!

Hi everyone,
interesting: I have the same hardware (Logitech H02, Belkin F8t001). My Problem is that the microphone shuts off after some random time. I just don't understand why. I use XP SP2. First I used Widomm 1.4.2.10 as deliverd by belkin. there the whole audio would shut off after some time. When I lsitened to sound files in winamp, winamp would just freeze. I now tried these 4.x drivers, and the audio works, but , as i said, the microphone shuts off after some time. The headset works fine on my cell phone. Also Skype works perfectly with a regular headset.
I spent so muchg time on this now. Starting with an IOgear311 dongle which has lots of cracking (somebody in this thread had the same problem with IOGear 211-- it's the dongle, buddy: it only works up to 50°C) Also I exchanged my headsets from Plantronics m3000 to logitech HS02. Both worked fine. The headset itself is just not the issue.
Also I renamed that microsoft bt driver file, so that's done (I do have the RIGHT BT "B"). I only allow bt services audio gateway and headset. I tried allowing only headset, didn't make a difference.
Somebody has an idea how I can fix my problem: microphone shuts off after random time (2-5min)???
thanks
I have the same problem. Basically, it seems windows just switches the default audio devices with no reason, and skype seems to follow.

Yeah - now I'm at the point that if I turn the headset on, Windows insists on running all audio through the headset or not at all. i can't even get it to play through speakers again unless I reinstall the driver and reboot.

I purchased a Skype Certified Motorola H500. I also have HP NC6320 Notebook. So I have read this post and others and still after 23 pages in this one and around 30+ pages in the others my headset still doesnt work properly.
I have tried it will the integrated bluetooth and the dongle provided. I have the problem that although the headset pairs and I can hear fine all callers hear static/noise/buzzing from me. In the other posts they offered suggestions on how to fix this. I tried all of it and the same humming/buzzing noise.
If this is a Skype certified headset why is it so complicated to get working? I really do not understand what to try next other than hurrying up and returning the headset. All I want to do is get the static/humming buzzing gone. I have spent 4 hours on this today and that is just ridiculous.

Hi folks,
I just got myself an Itech Miniclip II
http://www.itechdynamic.com/en/products_sp...1&pid=01041 which supports pairing to two devices simultaneously. I am trying to get it to work on my cellphone AND SKYPE at the same time. The cellphone part works well while I could not get the stuff to work with SKYPE at the same time. I have routed SKYPE to use the Bluetooth device for both audio-out and audio-in on the options configuration. Does not work yet. Any help appreciated.

Ok -- I figured it out
1) If you are on XP SP2
2) If you have bluetooth drivers that don't see your bluetooth device
3) If you have "microsoft enumerator" that DOES see your bluetooth device, but won't work with your headset
THEN
Go here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...;en-us;883258#2The TRICK is that you must follow the instructions exactly in order to get the enumerator drivers NOT to load. They're SIGNED, so they always take precedence, but following this exactly will disable them so that your original drivers will work.
Took me hours to find this, but I'm now using my headset. It's still squirrelly in connecting, but once it connects, it's fine, which is alot better than with the microsoft enumerator, which would see the device (Motorola H700 headset) but wouldn't work at all.
