Hello!

These days I was using Skype and i noticed that my webcam and my contact's web cam were black(the images). Then I asked my contact if he was seeing me. He sad he was.

At MSN I can see my webcam image. Only at Skype that i can't see my webcam and the contacts' webcam.

My moderboard : Asus p5rd1-vm

Ps: It happend after the support guy installed a VGA board in my pc. (yeah, a vga no.png )

First check you are both on latest versions off SKYPE 3.6 or 3.5.

Then check your web cam drivers are up to date at manufacturers side.

If still no joy, try downloading splitcam to test if that solves it.

You have to select Splitcam as you web cam in the video settings on Skype Video did you do this.
vitor_m
it didn't work
When I select my webcam at SplitCam I got this message : "This feature is not supported by the currently selected video source"

PS. I think you didn't understand my situation. Both my webcam and my contacts' (any contact) still black.

Thanks

Have you selected your web cam in Split cam also because I use the same program with no problem at all feeding the video to several locations at the same time.
vitor_m
it still black.
One think I noticed is when i use the snapshot video it takes the snapshot of my cam. Just that works.

If I understand you statement correctly you are saying that your web cam is not compatable with Splitcam is that correct.

I have my onboard video (with problems) and this VGA board.

I've made a test. Without the vga board skype works, using the vga board it doesn't work.

PS. I can't use pc without the vga board crying.png

Please disable in your bios.
Otherwise this can conflict your external graphic adapter.

I suppose you should make your webcam driver active under the Microsoft WDM Image Capture (Win 32) driver.

If you don't know how to do this with your software, you may try
http://www.willingsoftware.com software, using the 'Options > Video Source' hot button above the preview window.
