Full Version: Skype chat window issue when starting to chat
Skype Community > English > Linux

Hello,

I've noticed a strange behaviour (actually it's a bug I think) of Skype when somebody starts to chat with me (no chat windows are open). Skype initiates a chat window but somehow it's not minimized though I have set "Create a minimised chat window" in Options -> Chat. It works the same as if you set "Open a chat window in front of me". I am not sure if it is a bug so I would like to ask to check if it happens for you too. At first I had Skype version 1.4.xx (the latest stable) and not so long updated to Skype Beta but the problem hasn't been solved so far.

I am using Ubuntu 7.10 / Gutsy Gibbon and Skype version 2.0.0.27.

Regards,
Ben.

*Bump*

It's the same... Even with 2.0 stable. Any ideas about this issue? For now i'm using devilspie tools that detect new skype chat windows and minimize them... but it's not 100% reliable. I wan't my Skype working properly!

"Create a minimised chat window" does not work in Gnome.

Thanks for reply.
Is there any chance this feature will be implemented?
