Why can't I or the person i'm calling hear each other when I call on my phone threw wifi.

I can still chat but I just can't hear anything from the person. They can't hear me either.

I'm on the verizon xv6800 wm6 ppc.
Can someone tell me why this does not work or How I can fix it?

I've got the same issue. I found another posting by searching xv6800. Same problems ... I noticed the mobile version doesn't have any sound setting options. The sound I hear when I dial is the application generated sound. Somehow the application is not connecting the dots for the call portion.

xv6800 is overall a great business type phone. use its internet and fun applications for a couple of hrs everyday. Hopefully I see some update which addresses this. wifi works well. and I think, the skype should work well too. I think xv6800 is designed by htc, which is a big brand. I have used it for few months and had to recycle it after iphones launch for a greater space which I was waiting for, with http://www.fonebank.com.

I had the same problem with my HTC 6800. Try Skype 2.2.0.18 version. It works perfectly for me. Good luck
