I want to test out Skype's video conference abilities for use in our company. But I am unsure wether this type of business use is allowed since the UELA states: "Skype hereby grants You a limited, personal, non-commercial, free of charge license to download..."

I am guessing commercial use is allowed since there is a business version available for free.

Yes, this is allowed. Many businesses use Skype video. You are not allowed to charge anyone for using Skype (you cannot resell the service).
