I use my Skype phone for business, and want to run it in Linux, as my Linux is 24/7. I really appreciate Skype supporting Linux.
But, calls don't always come through: I can do a test call out... it would be really nice to have a test call in too (as that seems to be where skype has problems).
So, I run Skype on my Windows laptop and mobile as well as Linux... and at least one will dependably ring, giving me a chance to try to log out/in of Skype in Linux and see if I can coerce the call to my phone of choice.
Even though I have my wait time set for 60 seconds (the maximum) before going to voicemail, I usually only have 3 or 4 rings to try to see if I can get the call into Linux before the call goes to voicemail.
Additionally, the history in Linux is wrong. I have two voicemails from today (one call never rang anything, the second call... from my boss... didn't ring Linux), only one shows up in my Linux history (even after logging out and back in); Windows sees both, my mobile sees neither.
The "call history" interface in Linux is also out of order: I don't know what sort order it's using, but it's definitely not time (it would be nice to set sort order... i.e. sort by caller, voicemail, in/out, time, etc...).
Does the 2.0 interface add anything but video? Would it fix these issues?
