I just purchased the GE 28300EE1-A base unit, and the phone will not recognize the computer (and vice versa). I've checked that all cables are working and plugged in, USB port is active, I've uninstalled and reinstalled both Skype and SKYLINK software, rebooted...and the phone still does not recognize a PC connection.
Please help! The GE Call Center Rep was very nice, but didn't provide a solution. I've seen a link to a firmware upgrade in the forums, but it's broken. I'm running v. 1.9.8.3. I love the idea of the phone and really want it to work; I don't want to have to take it back.
