I just would like to know, as this is a Beta, when is scheduled the first update for 2.0 ? I just feel a little bit frustrated because I am one of the unlucky one that have Skype 2.0 crashing ...

I don't know when 2.0 will become official. Could you please show a log with what happens when you start it ?
Try starting skype from a terminal and see if it says that there are some files missing ?

The crash is not at the startup, but after the fist call. One bug has been opened on Skype 2.0 with logs and trace https://developer.skype.com/jira/browse/SCL-264

Older version got a problem with hda-intel (so tired about this sound driver). A bug is opened on it .. for 3 months ... https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=3338

Except dropping my ubuntu laptop and make laughing all my partners on Windows, I really don't know what to do to be able to have a simple skype working on m laptop. This works perfectly on my Ubuntu desktop.
