Dear all,

I am an System Administrator in a Finance company and we have few skypeIn number working in a call centre. Basically, since at the beginning of this day (13/sept) we do not receive any calling.

We have two different range of numbers: 0207 870 and 0207 871.

Anyone are experiencing this problem? This is really serious and I can't find any information about this on skype website.

All the best,

Vinnie

Yes, I have.

But as everyone here complaining, I didn't receive any contact.

And this is really serious because the company is completely stuck.

Could you help me??

Hi Spud,

I've tried all those points that you mentioned at that link.

My problem is that is not happening with just one username but with all my four different skypeIN numbers.

I've tried to connect in other network connections, other OS (Windows and MacOS) and nothing happening.

I don't know what I can do anymore.

Do you have any idea???

My problem that is really really urgent. We receive about 800 callings a day and the company is crazy because we have two different call centres by these skypeIN numbers.

Regards,

Vinnie

Hi

I have a Skype in 0207 number and I am experiencing the same problem, I have tried calling my number from a landline and all I get is a busy tone! This has been happening all day today.

Have put a ticket in to Skype but doubt i'll get a reply for a while.

Would appreciate any suggestions if anyone can help

Hi Lamorna,

I also tried to contact BT. I suppose any routing problem but they said that cannot help us about it. We must contact our provider (unfortunately).

Did you receive any info from Skype team??

While you wait for Skype to respond to your Support Requests..

You could try the code locator here,
http://www.ukphoneinfo.com/section/tci/locator.shtml

Enter the full SkypeIn number and it should indicate which company owns the number. A web search should give you a Customer Services number for the company, so you might be able to get them to check the line.

Thanks a bunch Skype for not even identifying the problem on your announcements page (everything working fine apparently)

Also thanks a bunch for not even an email confirmation of my tickets

Should I take the rest of the week off?

Vonage anyone?

This nonsense prompted me to phone them, free equipment, free numbers, no contract and they have some nice free call country packages

It looks like the range belongs to GCI (thanks again Skype for taking my 300 quid a months and doing diddly squat)

Their office is closed but the answer machine implies they might be aware of the problem, they suggest a prefix of 1280 - this gives you a ringing tone but does not go to Skype

Thanks again Skype for disrespecting your customers from your PO box in Luxembourg and not even giving us a number to call nor an email.

Thanks also for allowing me to lose all my new customers today and damaging the good will of the existing ones (probably think I havent paid the bills and skipped)

Now there is something in your Ts and Cs about 'doing your best' to resolve technical problems.

Naff all is not 'doing your best' and if you take our money, this is what you must do.

Best start communicating what you are doing before the small claims (and not so small claims) start getting filled out

Gladiator,

I just PM you my details. I am experiencing same problems as above - busy signal. Raised a ticket with your CS but in an email there was no reference number (not sure how you handle these without RNs?).

This is the first time it happened apart from that big long cut off. Again the technology has let us down... or people who made some changes to the system but who doesn't make mistakes?

Let's hope it won't happen again.

Also, please pass this onto your colleagues developers namely to spend some more time on making sure basic features such us calls quality and reliability are improved rather than implementing flashy and often useless gadgets that come with the core install and not as plugins! People who have serious businesses rely on you and not some kids who just want to have fun on the net. So glad am on Mac where it's still not that cluttered with all that junk but am at the same time worried cause can feel it's round the corner and the new versions will end up like those for Windows...

Thanks again for all your support here - good work!
David

Gladiator

Just adding my voice to all those with lost SkypeIn Numbers. I have also submitted a query to Skype CS and PM'd my info to you.

Looking forward to getting a speedy resolution.

Add me too. Having problems with both the software and my Philips Skype phone. It works for one call after I make a SkypeOut nummer, but I don't know how close the outgoing and incoming calls need to be.

I have the same problem with an 020 7 number - it seems to have started yesterday (13th Sept). I logged a support request but received a blank email back. I've raised another ticket this morning and have not even had an acknowledgement.
