I have a question on what Skype plan would be best for me doing business from Mexico. I make many calls to the states every day and also need to receive calls here in Mexico. Can I get a US number as many clients are intimidated about making calls to Mexico? I have Skype for chatting but have never used it for calling regular landlines. Is their a slight lag when speaking as their is on Yahoo Instant Messenger? I would appreciate any info. on what would be the best plan for me and also about the lag. Thanks.

Hi Jerry, thanks for your PM. Sorry about the delay in replying.
SkypePro might be useful to you as it gives you a discount on a SkypeIn number and free minutes for national landline calls. See these pages: http://www.skype.com/intl/en/products/skypepro/?country=MX http://www.skype.com/products/skypepro/countries/ http://www.skype.com/products/skypepro/ http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic...mp;hl=skype+pro You can get a US SkypeIn number and it will be useful to you as your clients are in the US and will only pay for the local/national call. You can answer the call to your SkypeIn number wherever you are in the world, as long as you're signed in to Skype or have set Skype to forward the call to another phone. Normally there shouldn't be a "lag" when you're speaking. It can be caused by a poor Internet connection. You should check the minimum requirements on the Skype download page. There is also a lot of help with this and other issues in the User guides @ http://www.skype.com/help/guides/ - in particular it will tell you alot about different kind of voice quality problems. If you need help, contact support or post your question here in the forum. Good luck. -------------------- IMPORTANT: No animals were harmed in the transmission of this message, although the yorkshire terrier next door is living on borrowed time, let me tell you. Those of you with an overwhelming fear of the unknown will be gratified to learn that there is no hidden message revealed by reading this warning backwards, so just ignore that Alert Notice from Microsoft. However, by pouring a complete circle of salt around yourself and your computer you can ensure that no harm befalls you and your pets. More.
