This is a huge problem:

I cannot enter Skypecasts any longer. The Webportal states I need v3.2 but version 3.2 for Mac does not yet exist, but is needed for skypecasts to login.

I have the very same problem :/
When I try to join any skypecast the website is forwarding me to:

https://skypecasts.skype.com/skypecasts/sky...eClientWin.html

even if I have no Skype open at the time.

Notice: incompatibileClientWin.html !!

It looks like it wasn't recognizing that I'm using Mac not Windows machine.
Hope it will be fixed soon!

D'Oh! Then please keep an eye on the Heartbeat website please smile.png

"Skypecasts will be available for Skype 2.6 for Mac users shortly" They said two days ago.

This is very disappointing... And that message stating that we need Skype version 3.2, when the Mac version is only on 2.6 is rather annoying. I'd at least expect a note for the Mac users letting them know what's up.

O.K. let's face the *facts* here:

#1: Skypecasts are still not running for Mac users after ONE full week no.png

#2: All brought-up so called "Fixes" by the moderator of this forum did NOT work no.png

#3: The webpage still thinks, Mac Users are using Windows OR WHY THE HELL DOES IT SAY:

"Skype version 3.2 or later needed * You need a new version of Skype to use Skypecasts. Download the latest version of Skype. Upgrading is free and gives you the new and improved Skypecasts experience." (see also attachment) no.png

#4: If a company is not able to fix the problem with its product, then at least I expect a message that does not leave me "alone in the dark" suggesting me downloading a windows-product for my Mac no.png

#5: CONCLUSION skype does not care about its customers. I think it is time for some competitor to come up with a solution for this... oh wait... there soon will be the iPhone right? 24x7x365 internet-ON. i hope they will kick you guys in the a** pretty soon. devil.png

I do not think you have a bad product, but I do think you do not care about the customers. No idea which one is more important for you, for me it ist definitely customer care. speechless.png

The group I'm in, which does a weekly Skypecast, is going to try a conference call in Gizmo next week, instead of Skype. Tried it out yesterday. Works nice. Even has a built-in recording function.

Get busy, Skype. devil.png

Hi,

Did I ever said WHEN the fixes will come? I did not.

I hope that it gets fixed as soon as possible. Yes, I also use the Skype for Mac and I like things working.

Please be patient, and respect people's work. (Not my work, I'm a volunteer and I'm no developer or customer support).

Well, it seems a year later they still keep Mac users locked out of hosting OR EVEN JOINING Skypecasts. I can only imagine this means they have NO commitment to the Mac platform and I hereby delete Skype from my Applications directory.

I have no time for companies that won't support the superior platform.

Screw you, Skype.

Actually skypecasts work for me. I have no problem joining any skypecast, not sure about creating one as I've never tried.

My Skype version is 2.7.0.330

To join or create skypecast you have to visit: http://skypecasts.skype.com/
All you need is there.
