How many times do we have to go through this so you understand you should release XP and Mac OS X clients at the same time.

Let's keep this up: we would like Video on Skype for Mac OS X.

Skype is the solution for the eternal AV problem to winusers.

Bring that OSX 2.0 version to mac!

Agree.
Opera is doing that. Their Windows, Mac and Linux versions release at the same time and same function.

We are working on bringing video to Mac - so don't totally despair!

We understand the Mac version is in the works.

What's annoying is the fact that the Mac client is trailing Windows.

Obviously you won't/ cannot give a timeframe but we would like to see it sooner than later.

Also, about yesterday's password change, please let the Skype team know that the change should have been offered to user to make on their own timing not imposed when some users needed to use their SkypeOut feature and were locked out of it ("Forgot Password" took 6 hours to send me a new password!!!).

Probably, the Mac development team is smaller and the Mac version causes less significant revenues to Skype.

Let's be realistic, it's great that they're doing a Mac OS X client and trying to integrate so much with a platform. They could have done with MSN, Yahoo and all does, write a craptacular app and expect people to be happy with it. Instead, they wrote something from scratch that doesn't feel like a port at all, uses drawers and sheets, has features the Windows version doesn't (such as tabbed conversations), uses Growl, etc. Obviously, they are very much listening to their Mac user base and I think you guys are doing yourselves a disservice criticizing them for what they're doing. It could be more, sure, but remember that Skype is provided for free. They rely entirely on making money through paid services, and obviously that's not easy money to make.

That said, I would very much like video support too, but I have no doubt that it's coming and has been planned for the Mac version right from the start.

Sounds like a problem with your mail server. It took me just a few seconds.
