No sound at all on Skype with linux Mandriva 2006

i have skype 1.2.0.18 on linux mandriva 2006.
sound do not work on it. when i try to call a contact, there is no sound at all, no ringing or there is the message "problem with sound device". Could anyone help pme Please> i am at a loss at what to do> |
