My vote is for video calling. Especially since next-gen iPod Touch is rumored to have a camera and record video. And Push Notification. Those two things would just be awesome.

I would also like to see the person I'm talking to on the phone. Would that be possible?

It has a speaker phone, it comes in handy when i want to eat or do something that requires two hands. What i would like to see fixed, fix the echo people complain so much about, they can hear themselves over and occasionally my voice. Also, every time someone picks up it takes a good five seconds before they can hear me.

It's been said but sound/vibration notification for new chat would be unbelievably awesome.... When I am on the move, it's annoying to check if someone is skyping me every 10 minutes. Just a bip would be a life saviour.
Thanks for your time :-) |

Please bring Skype to iPhone to CANADIAN USERS !
I do not know why you don't offer it in the Canadian store. Please explain why you do not have it available to Canadians ! |

Skype for (iPhone)... needs to honor Skype subscriptions, voicemail and support video calls...with a 'Skype received' notification (sound/vibe). Wifi is fine.
I'd like to get the next iPod Touch when it comes out (supposedly with a camera built in)... and use my Skype account on it. I want the iPod Touch to be a wifi Skype phone, with video. I hope Skype will make this possible, and I might then drop my cellular almost completely. ConsumerCellular.com has cheap cellular no-contract plans whereby I could pay by the minute when I -have- to use cellular... otherwise I would use Skype (vid)calling over wifi on the iPod Touch (with cam). Hopefully there will be no regulatory hassles. Elsewise, I might want the same features described above for the Xperia. This post has been edited by RpD: Fri Aug 7 2009, 14:51 |

1. Push Notifications for Skype to work on iPhone
2. Skype to work over 3g 3. Need to improve delay when other party answers, they cannot hear me. 4. Skype to work with video on iPhone. |

Push notifications of incoming call request would really be nice. I'm assuming that the iphone's push data can travel over wifi when the iphone is in airplane mode with wifi connected.

It's great to be able to set up Call Forwarding. I have 2-3 numbers I might want to forward to, and really want to be able to choose between them, like I can on OS/X Skype.
At present on iPhone I can add more than one number, but forwarding is to all of them or none. There is no way to choose between numbers without deleting and having to add them back in. Please provide this Skype - thanks. |

I love Skype and I love being able to use it on my iPhone. I do however wish to be able to delete my conversations so that if someone uses my phone they cannot see my history. It would be nice to be able to set a history time like we can on the PC version. Is it at all possible to hard delete in any format?
Cheers from New Zealand |

Push, Skype is near useless without it. When I connect, it seems to take about 1-5min to pickup on everyone else that's signed in.
For example, I have my PC on and signed in with my contact list up, and people online on the PC won't appear online on the iPhone for a few minutes. If Skype is always logged in on the iPhone and has push enabled, then I would be able always see who's on my contact list. I can't wait for a few minutes to see if someone might appear to be connected. Also that time waiting means that I can't do anything else on the phone. And if I leave Skype to check an email, then I have to wait all over again back in Skype. Again, PUSH!! It's the only reason I don't use the app or purchase some of your services. |

The thing I like the best is that there is a skype app for my iPhone. What I'd like to see is that skype fixes what seems to be a pretty prevalent problem and one that makes the app completely useless. When I call either skype to skype or a non-skype number (land line or mobile) there is no sound. I can hear nothing on my end; nor can the person I call. If I'm lucky, they've waited long enough for me to switch to speakerphone, which takes 30 to 50 seconds.
I've contacted skype support on 3 different occasions but all they tell me to do is uninstall and reinstall the app which does absolutely no good. I have a 3g phone running all current iPhone software and (clearly) the latest skype software since I've reinstalled it 3 different times. I last contacted them 2 days ago--no response. The forum has many if the same complaints but skype seems oblivious. |

My Skype for iPhone works incredibly well. Fantastic interface, almost as if I was at my computer. Clear, fast, so far no glitches whatsoever.

Fantastic app, I use it a lot when travelling!
One big wish: When typing SMS, support the "tilt" of the iPhone so that you get a landscape keyboard (for the big-tumbed among us!). Should be simple enough to implement? And another (maybe not that simple to implement, due to legal matters I guess): Use 3G network to call and send SMS via Skype. Keep up the good work and I'll keep buying Skype credits! :-) |
