Where is my money????

I have just bought some credits through my VISA credit card. And, I can see the balance on the 'My Account' page. But I can not see it in my skype pannel:(
When I dial a standard telephone number, it always told me "You need SkypeOut to call to standard telephone numbers"!! Oh, where is my money??? |

I entered a voucher code from a Plantronics headset I bought today and I can see the credit in my account overview but my Skype window says the same as yours when I try to dial a standard number.
Is it usually instant from when you pay? This is my first SkypeOut experience. Hopefully someone will be along with an answer for us both. |

If you see it on My Account page, it's there and will eventually make it into Skype Client too.

I added 10 Euro credit at 8:45 or so this morning and it still doesn't show up in my Skype application. I am really surprised as I had the impression that Skype was a really well-refined system due to the slick website/program/etc. -------------------- --

I think you are starting to see the true face of Skype. Even if it's not fraud, then what we have is a company that cannot hire skilled programmers and business managers. Online commerce is not that hard to do. These people are failing miserably. They created a slick bit of software, but are rapidly proving they don't have the skills to run a business. VOIP is here to stay, even PC to PC, but Skype won't be among the survivors. The company does not have qualified people at the helm. Reading the posts from Skype "staff" in these forums, and witnessing all the payment-related issues is proof.
Just having good software does not make a business. |

Just having good software does not make a business. What a shame.... I was really impressed to come across Skype with a nice-looking (seemingly) well functioning Mac OS X program and slick website. One hint at lack of care shows on their invoices as they do not contain the billing address or company name. In fact they don't even ask for a company name for billing.... By the way, I also tried the LiveHelp system and waited for ages with no response. Any comments on whether or not I can get my money back?? Cheers, Galen -------------------- --

It is frustrating that in my first experience wanting to use SkypeOut that credits showing up in my account are not available to the Skype Client.
I would suggest to Skype that they quickly implement a System Status link on their main web site page to report disruption or system problems so that threads like this aren't necessary. I chatted to Skype support about five hours ago, they suggested that all would be well within a few hours, my Skype Credits are unusable.. it would be less frustrating if there were an obvious system outage updates page to refer too rather than guessing! |

I have the same problem. But contacting the online support works fine so far. I got contact after 5 minutes or so. The answer was: Wait a few hours and try again. We are working on it. Besides this, I think this prog is great.

I've the same kind of problem. I paid 10 € yesterday (10/02/2005). Impossible to make a call. I wait and today, when I logged in skype....
In "my account" page : €10.00 remaining SkypeOut Credit. You have 179 days, until August 09 2005 , to use this credit. But in skype : skypeOut (depending of the screen) : -less than 1 Euro left or SkypeOut : 0 credit left.... Anyone has an idea ??? Grunge [size=18]PS : Problem now solved :shock: |

Well, the weekend has passed and there are still no credits available in the Skype desktop application. Hmm... very strange. I am stunned with the lack of professionalism with this system. What a disappointment.
