I have a Linksys CIT 200 (so skype certified).
One of the two STRONGEST points declared in the last update of the software says
(in the HELP menu and, then, WHAT'S NEW)
QUOTE
Change your headset, headphones or microphone WITHOUT having to touch your settings

HOWEVER
---------------
ANYTIME I try to select in AUDIO SETTINGS
Linksys CIT 200 as default device in EACH one of the three voices
so:
Microphone
Speakers
and
Ringing
and I SAVE the configuration........when I open it up again it shows the standard devices
Microphone: logitech stx (I have a webcam with built-in mike)
Speakers: Audio AC97 (my sound card)
Ringing: same as above. again my sound card.

That means that EVERY time I receive a phone call I have to RUN to the pc, CHANGE again the settings on the cordless and THEN answer the call.

PRETTY annoying.......and is driving me crazy.
Any clue?

Thanks

My cordless USB skypephone installs a piece of software that is supposed to automatically change the Skype audio settings, but its crap, I disabled that feature. You might try that.

Change your headset, headphones or microphone WITHOUT having to touch your settings
which is not the fact and is against the trade discriptions act by advertising a product that does not do what the company states it can do.
