This is my 5th reports in the last 7 days and I have not received any reply.
Everytime I called an North American phone number I got charged. I paid $14,95 last December 2006 and this make my account balance to $17.xx in Dec 2006 However calls made after that show that Skype now start charging me for every minute of North American calls at $0.024 per minute This is contrary to your mail to me stating that I will receive free North American calls and 1 hour of International calls Please make the correction to my account balance (Note: this was submitted through Skype ticket system, if there is any better way, pls let me know) This is my id: skype id: e1-2006 e-mail: e1-2003@telus.net |

You are confusing US$ with C$ The UCPlan costs US$ 14.95 or C$ 17.50 Are you absolutely sure that you are successfully enrolled in tyhe Plan ? When I bought the plan on Dec 24 I was in US, in NY State. Now I am in BC, Canada.
What's it got to do with my payment? Is Skype checking my IP address and make sure I stay in one particular country ONLY? Dec 24: When I click to buy, it show my payment in EURO and I just clicked to pay It was the same thing last May 2006 and paid for the $14.95 - which somehow was converted to EURO. I paid in EURO and I got free US & Canada calls Now I realized that in my account info it correctly stated that I live in Canada and my currency now is C$ Then I checked my purchases: 58405888 December 25, 2006 Skype Credit CA$14 $ 14.00 Delivered 30716352 May 20, 2006 Skype Credit CA$14 $ 14.00 Delivered so will this means that somehow SKYPE billing system made a mistake In May 2006 somehow it is OK In Dec 25, I paid only CA$14 (not US$14,95 or C$1.50) so Skype consider me as buying standard plan This is purely Skype billing errors. I do not mind paying $17.50 last Dec 25, but at that time Skype screen gave me the rate in EURO What is my course of action then? This post has been edited by e1-2006: Sat Jan 13 2007, 20:01 |

Well, what I did is just to click the link in the mail Skype sent on Dec 14
The link asked me to pay in Euro, so I paid. If the result is wrong, the error is in Skype billing system, not on the consumer side Skype billing error should not harm the consumer - Skype should rectify its Billing computer programs. There is also a precedent. The same process happened last may 2006, whehn I first oay for my Skype account At that time, everything worked fine, eventhough I paid in EURO So why now Skype changed its billing system? I expect Skype to allow me to top up to C$17.50 and clear out all charges to my North American calls This post has been edited by e1-2006: Sun Jan 14 2007, 18:24 |

Rocketman this is not issue. I found out how to do that and BTW it was done by Skype automatically starting this January 2007 I suspect that this automatic change in the Billing system is the one that cause trouble to me, since it rounded up my payment to $14.00, eventhough I am paying $14.95 US when clicking the URL given by Skype So far nobody have given any solution to this Skype Billing system error |

Thanks On your Skype account page does the transaction show as pending, declined, anything? What currency is your Skype account page displaying? Have you ever made a payment for this Skype Name using any payment method, if so what method, this should also be listed in your payment history on your Skype Account page. Do you have an email address set on your Skype account page? Did you ever receive the welcome email from Skype about the plan? I am trying to help you reslove this and just have a theory. Because you can see that the plan should NOT be $14.00CA -------------------- |

I think I am not getting any progress in this forum
You asked me 7 detail questions, I have replied all - no results I will reply to your last question now: In January 2007, I suspect that Skype changed its system My currecncy was changed auotmatically to canada $ from Euro (this was Skype default - pls do not ask me why, ask Skype) Starting January 1 - all my Skype calls to North America was charged at $0.024 - in Dec this was free You suggest that I changed my currency toi US => my $10 xx balance become $8.xx It is just converted, nothing wonderful happen, Skype just use the C$ to US$ conversion as it is suppose to be This post has been edited by e1-2006: Tue Jan 16 2007, 20:45 |

We have 2 choices, let you continue to pay for your calls on a per minute situation as you are now, or we can try to see if we can get the unlimited plan to be processed, and deal with any refund as well. So, I am asking you, if you change, just you, not others, your currency to U.S. dollars, for the moment, does it look like the correct amount will be billed for the plan? Your choice. This is a workaround for you at the moment, until we can see why this is going on with you. -------------------- |

After reading the other's experience in this great Forums, I have decided to keep everything as it is I do not want to mess up with my profile, hence giving Skype system more room to make worst error I do not want to buy any new purchase of UNLIMITEED PLAN, since it will make the accounting more complicated and more room for more error I will keep waiting another week (20 day after the first error) and see what happened As a long time e-Bay and Pay customer (7 years), my Skype first 6 months was also very satisfying However now I can remember only 15 days of comedy of error |
