QUOTE(IyK @ Sun Dec 3 2006, 09:55) Does anyone else is having issues buying skype credits with Mastercard or Visa today Dec 3? Please explain the problem. What is your location ? If you are accessing the internet via a proxy server you cannot use a credit card. Are you a new user (< 3 months) ? If so you cannot top up your credit until your balance falls below Euro 5.00 ( or the equivalent ). This post has been edited by Norman Musgrave: Sun Dec 3 2006, 16:21 -------------------- Regards,

If we ask for credit card details only the first 4 and last 4 digits are required. |

I aslo have problem buying skype credit using my cc (i tried both - none of them work). This is the second time I experience this kind of problem.
If skype doesn't want us to use cc to pay, they should be clear about it. I can't find explanation for such an user-unfriendly policy. |

Does anyone know if Skype has operation staff do they work 24 hrs or on weekends? You would think since EBAY bought them, someone would invest into help desk and operation support. |

QUOTE(sotex @ Mon Dec 4 2006, 17:36) yes, iv'e tried 3 times now and all payments were cancelled Yes, I'm having problems, as well. Tried twice Saturday, Dec. 2, and once just now. "Payment Failed" is the message I received, and the reason was that "maybe there weren't sufficient funds in my credit card." This is not true. I'm trying toi neghotiate this from Whitehorse, Yukon. Does anyone know of an alternative to Skype? I'm fed up. |

Solution: changing my profile - hadn't bought Eoros before - and typing my name EXACTLY as it appears on the card; ie if your MR JOHN DOE, that's what you type in, NOT John Doe or J Doe. Cheers |

I have problems buying Skype credits for a group via credit card. I started to try this on Sunday and the problem has not gone away. "Payment failed. Please try again in an hour". The credit card has worked with Skype previously and I have been using this card to pay at several locations (both brick and mortar and ecommerce) during the last days.
I am using DSL via a AVM WLAN router with standard configuratio, so the proxy thing shouldn't be a problem. Browser ist Firefox 1.5.0.8. Customer services requests didn't work for me. I am still waiting for the email confirmation that Skype has received the customer service request (up to now, three tries). So I am trying this forum.
