First off, I should make clear that I am somewhat new to Skype.

I'm traveling to China for 2 weeks...and have just installed Skype on my iPhone 3G and my computer. I'm not purchasing an international calling/data plan from my carrier, AT&T, so I will keep airplane mode on during my entire stay to avoid the enormous usage charges.

Ideally, I want to be able to Skype Out (to the U.S.)...but currently have neither Skype credits nor a Skype unlimited calling plan. What do I need to purchase in order to Skype Out on one or both of my devices?

If I have wi-fi access, will I be able to use Skype for iPhone in China? (China doesn't seem to be listed among the countries Skype for iPhone supports.) Or will I only be able to use Skype on my computer?
