Is there anyway to get or use a toll free number with skype?  <br /><br />I currently have one with a local phone company and I am trying to find a way to drastically cut costs. I paid for a London UK based number and am totally confused how to assign my user to that number! In the BCP it says I can't assign a personal account to the number but as I am the only person in my business (self-employed) I am the admin for the BCP and the Skype account holder. 		<description><![CDATA[Hello, <br /><br />I just deployed the latest version of the msi for skype, as I did for the 4.0, 3.8 and 3.6.But with the 4.1 version, there is no way to install the IE and FF addons.<br /><br />I checked the msi with orca, but unable to find the FEATURE_IEPLUGIN and FEATURE_FFPLUGIN in the property. It's like if this option disappear with the 4.1. These options are in the 3.6, 3.8 and 4.0 msi version.<br /><br />Does anybody have the same problem ? 		<description><![CDATA[Hi, I am familiar with the personal account panel and have recently begun working to transfer my administrative tasks to the BCP and I have ran into a bit of trouble.<br /><br />The first issue is in choosing an online number via the BCP. In the past using the personal CP I was impressed by the ability to type in a prefix of numbers and seeing the series of online numbers that was available containing that prefix. It is a pretty slick method of choosing your online number.<br /><br />Unfortunately I created a BCP account, and went to purchase an online number using it and this was not an option. I was wondering why this would be excluded from a control panel aimed at business use, and if there is any way to bring up a specific number via a workaround, such as passing a URL parameter or receiving assitance from a member of the Skype staff.<br /><br />A secondary issue I was hoping to address is the transfer of my online number purchased before July 2009 to the BCP. I would really love to be able to take full advantage of the potential the BCP affords, but it seems it may not be developed to the point to make it fully worth it yet.<br /><br />Thanks to anyone with insight into these issues.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[I have a team of myself and 7 other people located across the country.  Each week we have a 1 hour conference call that we currently get through a conference call provider.  It is convenient because wherever someone is, they call an 800 number, enter a pin and we are connected.  However it costs a small fortune and of course in this economy, I want to save as much as I can.<br /><br />So I want to see if there was a Skype solution for my needs.  The biggest challenge I see is that sometimes my employees are in front of their computers and would be able to use a desktop Skype app, while other times they would be on the road and need to call in via a land line or cell phone.<br /><br />So what is my best course of action to coordinate a weekly conference call with people spread out across the US without knowing if they are going to be available at their desktop or need a land line / cell phone call in. I have just signed up for the business offering and purchased a 12 month subscription for a phone number. Now I would like to associate the business number with my account but, obviously, can't do so as it's a personal account.<br /><br />How do I convert my personal account to be a business account?<br />Do I really need to delete it and start again? I don't want to delete it and then find I can't immediately re-create it in the Business Control Panel, or, for that matter, someone else happen to register it in the interim.<br /><br />Once I've got my account set-up properly and associated with the phone number what additional things am I going to need to do to get SIP working with the number & my Asterisk based PBX? Just apply for Skype for SIP?<br /><br />Sorry for the n00b questions.<br />]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[I and others in my company use Skype internally and are pleased with the quality of voice and ease of use it offers.  There are often times, in fact, that we use Skype instead of our SIP/VoIP phones when voice quality takes a dive on the latter.  Because of this, we're keeping a close eye on what develops with Skype's business offerings and waiting for the day we'll be able to cut over to a completely Skype solution.<br /><br />To date we cannot realistically commit more to Skype than we currently use, as core business offerings just don't exist.<br /><br />I'd love to hear from someone AT Skype about what the plan for business offerings is.  To give you some examples, a future plan we'd love to see come to fruition would deal with slick options for call routing and logistics:<br /> * Ring Groups<br /> * Auto Attendant<br /> * Inbound number porting<br /> * Truely "unlimited" plans (even if they cost more than they do now).<br /> * Real People&#153; for customer service<br /> * Etc<br /><br />I think Skype is in a great place to offer some real hard-hitting business solutions (e.g., PBX replacement), but the lack of staff involvement here in this forum and the reflected lack of a well thought-out customer service plan make things a bit foggy.<br /><br />Can someone invested in the business platform at Skype comment on what we "might" see in the future? 		<description><![CDATA[This is related to support ticket KMM2003322I15977L0KM , which has not been resolved even after repeated attempts.<br /><br />We wanted to use and set up a Business Control Panel for our company and this issue is a bad one on skype's end - leading to a user being locked out.<br /><br />We created a Business Control Panel administrator and charged the accout with 10euro of credits.<br />Then, USING THE BUSINESS CONTROL PANEL (via the "Create Business Account" button), we created and added a new user and transferred 10 euro credits to him.<br /><br />After this, we clicked on "Delete Account" for the new-user (not the administrator). What we expected is that the account is no longer part of the Business Control Panel, but also that the account itself will remain active.<br /><br />However, what has happened is that we are unable to log on to this account - we are able to request password-reset, change the password SUCCESSFULLY (including receipt of email confirmation of successful change-of-password). However, we are never able to log in.<br /><br />We have engaged in a long discussion with Skype support, but after every two mails, I receive one instructing me on how to reset the password.<br /><br />I think this is a bug with Skype's Business Control Panel - because neither the administrator (who created the user account) nor the user account itself are able to utilize the 10 euro credit. <br /><br />Please help.<br /><br />]]></description>
